Why Mediation, is it really an option?

Most definitely! Often overlooked, Mediation is flexible, and often cases can be resolved the same day unlike the legal path which can be time consuming, drag on and lets not even start on the cost! Parties also attend by choice, so they are more invested in the outcome.

A confidentiality agreement is signed prior, therefore the process encourages open conversation and collaboration.
Unlike legal, Mediation allows parties to tailor proceedings to the specific nature of the dispute, and often our sessions draw out additional information which would not normally be considered as part of the legal process and whilst this may not appear significant, it could affect the outcome.
There is a real chance that an option not yet considered could pave the way for a mutually beneficial outcome, reflecting its effectiveness to maintain and even strengthen stakeholder relationships.
We live in a time when emails, texts are prevalent over having an honest and open conversation, tones can be misconstrued, we have a tendency to react instead of giving considered responses, issues whether professional or personal can escalate.
Having a third neutral party in the room to help navigate the conversation can mean things are resolved in no time at all, preserving relationships and leaving the door open to future dealings.
